There are plenty of Mini LED solutions that mainly have the same features, but slightly different brightness and HDR tone mapping on offer.

If you're on the lookout for a great gaming TV see our guides to the Best Gaming TVs for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This TV is good for… As always, we factory reset the Hisense U7K and then measured the picture presets to find which is the most accurate to the industry standards, out of the box, so we can view content as it was mastered and intended to be seen. The best picture preset for this is Filmmaker Mode (FMM), which tries to follow the industry standards to view content as it was mastered and intended to be seen. A visual setting called "Filmmaker mode" is made to lessen the amount of post-processing added to films and TV shows, giving you a much more pristine and cinematic experience and letting you watch content the way the creators intended. Mini LED with Quantum Dot Experience colour like never before. Hisense TVs are capable of reproducing over one billion different shades of colour, allowing you to enjoy colour in its most authentic and genuine form.Given the TCL is cheaper and offers more dynamic range, better tone mapping and overall picture quality, plus it has the same gaming features, eARC on an HDMI 2.0 so you keep both HDMI 2.1 ports and Google Smart TV with everything it offers, it is tough love for the Hisense in this comparison. It has incredibly loud and crisp audio, stunning picture quality which remains the same from various angels, innovative features and sleek Morden design which sets it apart. Upscaling is also good but SD channels do look very soft and even HD 1080 content can also look a little softer than we would like. Edges can also look a little false with broadcast material with some obvious ringing seen within certain types of content. Sports can look fluid and detailed and 4K film is also detailed, sharp and with well-defined edges. We are testing a 65-inch Hisense U7K which has been provided to us for review by Hisense UK. It was a brand-new unopened example. The picture quality should be similar for the other screen sizes available in the range.

The speakers really give you a cinematic feel without the need of a sound bar. It’s been great for movie night. One thing that always impresses with Hisense products at this market level and price point is the materials used and the build quality. It feels like a more premium product thanks to plastics that look and feel good, mixed with some aluminium finishes here and there to add some solidity. If you want more of the same but with improved local dimming and more dynamic range, then the Hisense U8K is more expensive but does offer a little more performance and we’ll have a review available as soon as we get one in.

We offer a full HDR solution (HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10+, HDR10, 4k HDR immersive & Dolby Vision IQ) to help you get the most out of your TV and TV content, so no matter where you obtain your content, you can count on your Hisense TV to produce stunning visuals. Dolby Vision IQ dynamically adjusts your TV based on the lighting in your space to provide the best possible picture at all times. There are no real shortages of LCD TVs on the market, but Mini LED tech is still fairly new and at the higher end of the market. You also want a set that handles all the available HDR formats, Dolby and dts audio as well as at least two HDMI 2.1 ports, gaming features like VRR, eARC for use with a soundbar and decent Smarts. The most recent in AI processing technology is used by the Hisense quad core Hi-View Engine. Frame by frame, automatically fine-tuning each frame's resolution, brightness, contrast, colour, motion, depth, and detail results in an image that is vivid and lifelike. This is done in real-time. The Hi-View Engine's AI processing capacity also allows it to upsample information to a 4k quality image with clarity, sharpness, and lifelike detail. Where this TV really shines is when used in a normal living room with some ambient lighting and watching everyday content or playing games What are your alternatives?
