Odor Remover. Nobody likes a harsh chemical smell, but not all anti-mold sprays leave the area smelling like citrus. Before purchasing an anti-mold spray, consider the lingering aroma. These sprays are formulated to be used indoors, so they don’t pose a danger or health risk, but it is a preference to consider before committing to a product. Cladosporium. Cladosporium is an allergenic mold that is typically found indoors on fabrics and carpets. This mold has a suede texture and is olive green or brown in color. This mold should not be touched with bare hands as it can cause skin irritation.

To prevent mould on fabric items that have be machined washed, such as clothing and bedding, ensure that they are properly dried before storing. No matter how tempting it might be, you should never try scrubbing or scraping at mould, as this can release spores you’ll breathe in. Do this on a sunny day in the morning, and they should be dry (or near enough), to rehang by the afternoon.
