Description

A bookshelf speaker needs to deliver enough bass to balance the rest of the response and the Adam T5V does that. A port is a small hole designed to relieve air pressure from within the cabinet, which like many studio monitors, is situated on the back of the unit. In a nutshell, the measurements show the actual sound coming out of the speaker independent of the room. However, the T5V is slightly tighter in the midrange and more suitable for true near-field monitoring. If the device you’re connecting to has RCA outputs, like a hifi or mixer, simply use a pair of RCA to RCA cables.

Powered with a 50 W Class D amplifier for the woofer and a 20 W Class D amplifier for the U-ART tweeter, the T5V produces SPLs of up to 106 dB per pair. The T10S is a 10-inch SubWoofer unit designed by Adam Audio to be used with the T5V or T7V monitors. The KRKs are slightly cheaper and have a deep bass, so might be better suited for use with DJ decks or as bedroom speakers.

I have done it also professionally for some time but as soon as the fun part was gone and I decided to keep it more as a hobby and fun. If you’re tempted by more traditional hi-fi separates, then you’re unlikely to be able to match the T5V without spending significantly more money. The Adam monitors, by contrast, have a smoother mid-range but more sparkle and detail in the high end thanks to the patented ribbon tweeter.

I left the T5V’s playing for a few hours to make sure they were sufficiently broke in before testing. These would probably the speakers I would get for a highly substantial upgrade over my Klipsch RP-41Ms, if it weren't for the use cases I have for the small form factor of iLoud Micro Monitors. They should ideally be 3 feet in front of your listening position and around 3 feet apart from each other. With the T Series, Adam Audio have successfully adapted the innovative technology used in their premium S and A series speakers for the budget market. The new U-ART accelerated ribbon tweeter is mated to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HFP) waveguide used in ADAM Audio's flagship S Series monitors. In the upper range they have a nice balanced sound, but they can’t compete with the high-fidelity and sparkle offered by the Adam’s U-ART ribbon tweeters. The ADAM T7V is an affordable two-way studio monitor designed for vertical use in a nearfield application. This will start your application with Klarna Retail Finance or V12 Retail Finance, our finance partners, and completing this form should take approximately 10 minutes. I think maybe the advertiser is stretching the truth here and not posting a factual pic of the amp PCB.
