About this deal

SIMPLE AND STYLISH – This keyboard has a sleek, streamlined design that will look great in any setting. The matte surface shows texture without losing fashion. And at only 10.5kg/23lbs, it’s easy to move around wherever you need it.

The other sounds are a mixed bunch. None are bad and all give a decent emulation of the source sound, but none leap out as being particularly great. It's possible to load two sounds at once as a layered pair or, by using the 'strings (lower)' preset, you can create a split with strings under your left hand and whatever you like under your right hand. The split point is fixed at F#3. It's a shame this can't be adjusted. With so many pianos players out there and an equally large number of ways to learn the piano, it is no surprise that a new piano model comes out every now and then. Each new model boasts more features, better sound, and of course, more class. Something that’s often overlooked which you’ll definitely have to consider is the warranty of the instrument. The longer the warranty period the better. Many would argue that there is no way a compact keyboard or tabletop piano such as the DP-6 can compare to a full-sized keyboard. This is exactly why we are reviewing this piano today, as it claims to be able to compete in the big leagues with some of the most expensive pianos out there (the Steinway D-274). C Bechstein – C Bechstein is renowned for crafting grand pianos that have been used by some of the world’s most renowned musicians over the years, including Mozart and Beethoven. Fortunately, they also offer digital versions of these iconic instruments so everyone can experience their unique sound without breaking the bank! These digitals feature realistic wooden keys with Graded Hammer Action (GHA) technology give an authentic feel when playing.New dual voice controls allow layering of these voices for huge sounds. Four levels of touch response are offered, allowing you to fine-tune the response of the instrument to your playing style, with the 'touch response off' function facilitating realistic harpsichord and organ feels. This part might seem pretty obvious to an extent that it may go without saying. However, figuring out the amount that you’re able or willing to spend is a very important step to determine which type and model to buy. Practise your skills on a platform that enables you to transfer your technique to any piano, digital or acoustic. You get this with 88 weighted, hammer action keys. With such an authentic, natural touch, you'll be used to the resistance that an upright acoustic can give as you press down on its keys. These keys are full sized too, meaning you'll develop the correct hand positions.

Learning to play the digital piano is just the same as learning to play an acoustic piano, but some have complained that acoustic piano keys are harder. In our experience, that is just a matter of the quality of acoustic piano. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. A workstation type of piano can be viewed as a computer that has been integrated into the keyboard. This type bears everything that a musician could need. Moreover, it is capable of synthesising, editing and recording music. The workstation type comes in 88-, 61- and 73-key varieties. Even though workstations could be relatively expensive thanks to the features that they offer, the investment is still worth it for a musician who intends to compose their own music. Digital Grand Piano The sample rate basically refers to how realistic it sounds. Buyers should look out for a digital piano that has stereo sampled sound or multi-level sampled sound because these piano models will sound just like the acoustic piano. Number of Keys The built-in speakers and amplifier provide high quality stereo sound whether used at an acoustic piano volume, or at a lower volume to avoid disturbing others - great for late night practice. This instrument is perfect for home use, but it can equally be used as a stage piano, thanks to its detachable base stand.

If you’re looking to learn the ropes of your digital piano, Piano for All can help you understand the ins and outs through a time table that is most convenient for you. If you’ve found our DP6 Digital Piano review helpful, let us know down in the comments! We’d love to know your thoughts on the piano as well. The polyphony on this piano is 64 note, where some of the branded models offer 128 or more. The number of polyphony on a digital piano refers to the number of sounds that the keyboard can produce at any one time. For the huge majority of beginner and intermediate players, the effect 64 note polyphony will have in comparison to 128 note won’t be noticeable. It is extremely difficult to layer more than 64 notes at any one time using the pedal on a piano – so certainly nothing to ever worry about. Sound

Casio – Casio has been creating electronic keyboards since 1980 and they continue to innovate today. Their digital pianos feature an AiR Grand Sound Source that produces rich bass tones and clear treble notes for a truly immersive experience. Furthermore, their built-in lesson functions make them ideal for beginners who want to learn how to play the piano properly. Enjoy digital extras to add to your experience. With 16 different instrument voices to try out, including sounds like strings, upright bass, and a church organ, this is a great piano for having fun and trying something new. Experiment further with Dual Mode, letting you layer two instrument voices over each other, to create your own sound. You'll create an atmosphere with combinations like piano and strings. You can also accompany yourself in a different voice, by splitting the keys so you'll play one instrument tone with your left hand and another with your right.

The DP10 also features a reverb unit and chorus effect. There are four different presets for each, with no further control possible. While some may find this a bit limiting, we found the presets to be well judged, offering a useful spread of possibilities. The addition of more fine tuning controls would only add unnecessary complexity to the impressively straightforward DP10. This is a really well built piano, and I think it looks simple but elegant. I like the clean and sharp lines of the control panel, and everything looks really stylish and modern. It would look great in the home and wouldn’t take up too much space – which is exactly what every digital piano maker is trying to accomplish these days. There’s no other digital piano that is more beautiful than the grand piano. Owning a grand piano is a dream of nearly every serious pianist because it offers a wide range of features that other types don’t. ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL PIANOS I personally really liked it. It was a little on the bright side, but that does come down to personal preference – and of course the price. You can of course get a better sound if you spend a lot more money, but then this piano is aimed at the beginner to intermediate market – and does a great job!
