About this deal

This permanent acceptance of the Aeldari's "war mask" provides Exarchs with enhanced skill and dedication to their craft and entitles them to access their Aspect Shrine's oldest and most advanced wargear. The final way I want you to think about using Fire Dragons is to punish your opponent with them, breaking their will in the game. Overall, 40K is about not making mistakes, the opponent that makes the least often wins, and the general that can force and then exploit mistakes shows a true command. We all make mistakes on the tabletop, so having your Fire Dragons in a central spot on the table so they can zip out and exploit a mistake when it appears is key. It is not enough to “create” a mistake, you also have to set up the game through movement and looking ahead to capitalize on that mistake. What: Warpspiders (+Phoenixlord), Firedragons (male & female), Fuegan, Bonesingers, Striking Scorpions, Karandras, Banshees, Jain Zar, Farseer, Rangers, Illic Nightspear, Dark Reapers

With the benefit of centuries of experience, there is no foe this Exarch cannot identify the weakness of, coordinating the fire of their warriors into overwhelming surges of targeted heat.Every Aspect Shrine of the Asuryani is led by an Exarch, an Aeldari who has been called permanently to the Path of the Warrior. An Exarch has travelled so far down that Path that he or she can no longer leave it and so dedicates him or herself fully as a high priest of Khaine in service to the Aspect of the War God that he or she represents. Phoenix Armour - The legendary Phoenix Lords wear ancient, invaluable Aspect Armour so finely wrought it is proof against almost any weapon. Daemon Princes, Ork Warlords and the champions of Mankind have all fallen to his pike and axe, each one strengthening Fuegan's chain. Doom, a Runes of Fate ability, lets you re-roll failed wound rolls made against an enemy unit within 24”. Finally, Focus Will, a Runes of Fortune ability, gives a friendly psyker +2 to their cast rolls during the current phase. These only scrape the surface of what’s possible for Craftworlds Eldar psykers; you’ve got a great well of abilities to choose from. Since GW has decided to give us the middle finger with overpriced Howling Banshees and whatever-it-is the Dark Eldars got, I've decided to list all the decent proxies one could find on the Internet (or at least all I know about), in case it may help someone get the minis he wants.

If that type of roll involves more than one D6 (e.g. a Psychic test), treat one of those dice as an unmodified roll of 6 (do not roll that dice), then roll any other dice and add up the results as normal. Melta Bombs - Melta Bombs are portable incendiary devices utilising nuclear fusion-based Melta technology, and they are lethally effective against even heavily armoured units, as the intense directional blast of heat produced by the Melta reaction can burn its way through an armoured hull in a matter of seconds. Before making a roll of any of the types shown above for a unit with the Strands of Fate ability, if any of your retained dice have a result corresponding with that type of roll (as shown above) and have not been used to manipulate a roll this battle round, you can manipulate that roll. If you do so:

Those Craftworld Aeldari who wanted to follow this new path learned at the feet of their master, and in turn they assumed the mantle of Exarchs before spreading throughout the galaxy. The first Exarchs, the Asurya, the children of Asurmen, were the greatest of his students and went on to become the Phoenix Lords of the other Aspect Shrines, the first masters of the other specialised Asuryani combat disciplines. The Red Wyrm Shrine - Exarchs of the Red Wyrm make heavy use of flamers to reduce masses of the foe to glowing embers. Space Marines have their Landspeeders and tactical marines to deliver the heat, Imperial Guard have their own veterans spammed out with melta guns to do the job so Fire Dragons should naturally fit right in with the same role correct? Perhaps, if you are trying to play like Space Marines and Imperial Guard… The Eldar don’t just lay claim to ground warfare, through the Swooping Hawk Aspect they master aerial combat as well. Phoenix Lord Baharroth is terror-from- the-sky incarnate, descending to deal swift justice without mercy or hesitation.

Then, adding 2 to the damage is also pretty crazy as this will basically guarantee that they kill anything. As the Fusion Guns will most likely be D6+4 Damage! Each could do 10 wounds. The Aeldari believe that, with this chain, Fuegan intends to bind the Dragon at the end of days, though such a feat would mean mastery over destruction itself. The eventual fate of Fuegan is foretold in the last stanza of the Asuryata, the legend of the Phoenix Lords, known in full only to the Bards of Twilight. Fuegan was thought lost when the Shrine of Asur was destroyed by Arhra, the Fallen Phoenix. Fuegan disappeared for many standard centuries, before reappearing during the final battle at Haranshemash, "The World of Blood and Tears" in the Aeldari Lexicon.

There are a ton of Warlord Traits to select in 9th edition, with the absolute best being reserved for Custom Craftworlds. They get access to Expert Crafters, simply one of the best Warlord Traits available to Eldar players. With it, you’ll get to re-roll one hit and one wound roll each time a unit shoots or fights. That means your damage just got an incredible buff, giving you the ability to chip away at your foe with impunity.

When called to arms their goal is the total annihilation of their foes, to the exclusion of all else. Fire Dragons are aggressive and warlike close combat fighters who utilise heat-based weaponry to destroy enemy armoured vehicles and drive the foe from his fortified strongpoints. The Burning Wing Shrine - The Aspect Warriors of the Burning Wing rarely enter battle without Wave Serpent support, enabling them to visit swift destruction upon foes anywhere on the battlefield. If true, I'm not sure they're going to make the cut. The increased strength on their weapons is nice. The higher toughness is nice. The invuln is nice. They're still going to get shot off the board as soon as they either unload from a transport or webway strike. Not sure they're going to be worth it for the points unless they have some solid stratagem support. Those familiar with the Dragon of Aeldari myth know that while its fire was deadly, those who drew close exposed themselves to its equally dangerous bite. A squad of Fire Dragons can number between five to ten Aspect Warriors, typically including an Exarch who will command the squad, and may be delivered into battle within the protective hold of a Wave Serpent transport. Eldar wouldn’t be Eldar without psychic powers, and we’re happy to report that this remains true in 9th edition. With three different Psychic Disciplines, there’s a colossal number of psychic abilities to choose from. Particularly noteworthy is Protect/Jinx, a Runes of Battle ability that gives a friendly unit +1 to saving throws or -1 to an enemy.
